Shawn Gallaway is an accomplished singer songwriter with three CD's to his credit to date. He is also an author and a gifted visual artist whose work has been shown through out the United States. As a workshop facilitator and a ceremonial healer Shawn has assisted and blessed many over the years with his keen insight and his ability to bring a sense of humor to the healing process. His current passion is combining all his gifts into a multi media theater production and film called The Choice. The Choice can best be described as a healing experience that can enlighten and inspire the masses into loving action in the world through the use of the arts

Shawn’s I Choose Love CD and Book follows the soul’s healing journey through pain, confusion and struggle to emerge into the freedom of self-awareness, purpose, compassion, joy, and connection. It includes songs, stories, and a series of original paintings that chronicle Shawn’s own journey back to peace.

In his latest release, Love Will Overcome, Shawn moves from the individual healing focus of his previous release, I Choose Love, to address global healing and restoration. Shawn says, “It is about raising awareness and empowering people to take action”. These songs highlight healing in the peace movement, the environment, our political system, communities and relationships and are delivered with a passionate plea for loving action. This recording features theme songs written for organizations including the Peace Alliance, New Energy Movement, Go Gratitude, and the Satyana Institute. Shawn has also written theme songs for these organizations as well, Verbal Remedies, The Intenders, Peak Potentials, Quietly Working, Humanity Unites Brilliance, The Men’s Leadership Alliance, Contact Talk Radio, The Wave of Love and The Sole of Africa.

Empowerment through Passion

Shawn talks about his workshop that he will be facilitating at the Triangle of Empowerment Retreat in October.  “This is a very special workshop designed for men.  During this workshop we will begin by setting an intention to allow the essence of joy to come forward and remind us of the gifts we are as men and open to the vision of discovering how our passion can expand and bring more light into our lives. To prepare for our journey together I will facilitate a series of seven easy movements combined with the corresponding colors of the Chakra system, breathing our bodies into balance and awakening the emotional body. We will then ground deep into the earth and to the sky in a power stance, opening to a creative flow of energy, descending and ascending, becoming like a hollow bone, allowing spirit to move through us as we open our hearts to receive in the safety of Sacred space.

I will then facilitate a guided meditation, a present life regression, where everyone will have an opportunity to track those moments in our lives when we were living our love, or experiencing our joy, all the way back to when we were small children. The emphasis of this journey will be to unlock the joy instead of the wounds from our past, and bring these gifts forward into our awareness so we may fuel and rediscover our present passions, empowering ourselves in our missions, as we choose to share our light in the world.

Grounded in Grace Community, is sponsoring a multifaceted weekend retreat in Eden, UT, October 3rd and 4th 2008. This first annual retreat, entitled Triangle of Empowerment, is a one and a half day event for men and women, with speakers, music, workshops, exercise, food, vendors and community.
